United States

Ipas has always had a presence in the United States. For decades, Ipas has worked with partners and allies in Congress to reduce the harms of US foreign policies like the Helms Amendment that restrict access to abortion in countries around the world. The Abortion is Health Care Everywhere Act was introduced in 2020 in the US House and in 2022 in the Senate. In June 2022, when the United States Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, which guaranteed the constitutional right to abortion, Ipas increased its programmatic work, drawing from global experience in restrictive environments around the world. Now, Ipas staff are focused primarily in the southern part of the country, with projects in Texas, North Carolina and Virginia, and close work with partners in Washington, DC, and Maryland, as well as across the US-Mexico border. Ipas works to connect US partners with champions from around the world and to convene leaders from the reproductive justice movement and other movements to protect and advance abortion access.

We welcome suppliers, including independent consultants, academic and professional institutions, community-based, faith-based, sub-national/national, non-governmental, and global organizations, to collaborate with us to advance the Ipas mission. Our suppliers become valued partners in our supply chain as they enable us to achieve our mission cost-effectively, timely, sustainably and in line with our policies. Our procurement teams are focused on fostering enduring mutually beneficial relationships for our suppliers and Ipas. We expect all our suppliers to be committed to the Ipas mission and to share our sense of purpose and commitment to enhance a sustainable abortion ecosystem that ensures that all people have bodily autonomy and can access the essential health care they need.

Open Procurement Opportunities

Ipas is a global nonprofit impact network committed to a world where all people have the right and ability to determine their own sexuality and reproductive health. In June 2020, Ipas launched a multi-year journey to transform itself from an international NGO into a global network with authority, power, and leadership dispersed and shared across the organization/network. This journey has seen Ipas devolve into a Network organization with different nodes across Africa, Asia, and the Americas, all together making the Ipas Impact Network. Our effort to shift organizational culture, Ipas launched a Shared Leadership Initiative, including training, orientations, and learning sessions, experience sharing webinars with the intent to create a shared understanding and experience of Shared Leadership and associated supportive practices. This initiative has drawn from these resources and approaches: Going Horizontal, Liberating Structures, Art of Hosting.

As part of our efforts to enhance knowledge of the network structure and understanding of shared leadership, we are seeking a short-term consultant with graphics and video editing expertise to develop high-quality explainer videos, doodles, graphics, and other interactive learning resources to enhance understanding of the Network structure and function of the entities within the network.
