Ipas Africa Southern Region (Ipas ASR) is a non-profit international organization working to improve women’s lives through a focus on reproductive health. Ipas ASR collaborates with governments, regional bodies, and various local partners across Malawi, South Africa, and Zambia to enhance access to comprehensive sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) services. Ipas ASR aims to create a supportive political and legal environment, strengthen healthcare systems, and address barriers to reproductive health care.
Purpose of this Assignment
Ipas ASR is seeking a Consultant/Firm/Agency to conduct a comprehensive Compensation and Benefits Review (salary and all benefits) that provides Ipas ASR with:
- A clear understanding of the competitive environment for salary and benefits that will attract and retain high-performing staff in Malawi, South Africa, and Zambia.
- Analysis to help Ipas ASR align its staff salary and benefits packages with prevailing market rates and comparable international non-governmental organizations (INGOs).
- Data ensuring internal equity and external competitiveness of Ipas ASR’s staff compensation structure.
- Draft guidelines outlining salary grades and identifying any missing elements in the compensation package (salary and benefits). Scope of Work
The Consultant/Firm/Agency will undertake the following:
- Review job descriptions, organizational structure, pay policies, grade descriptions, and existing salary and benefits structures for Ipas ASR.
- Conduct a market benchmarking exercise to compare Ipas ASR’s compensation packages with those of similarly situated INGOs in Malawi, South Africa, and Zambia.
- Assess internal equity and external competitiveness of Ipas ASR’s salary and benefits structure.
- Provide recommendations for salary and benefits adjustments to ensure competitiveness and attractiveness.
- Develop a salary and benefits structure aligned with industry best practices and regional standards.
