Introduction
Ipas invites interested and qualified CBOs to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the provision of advocacy and awareness campaigns on SRHR. The purpose of this EOI is to identify potential CBOs who have the capability, experience, and interest in providing sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services. The Ipas program aims to create supportive environments across East Africa where every woman and girl, particularly those marginalized, can access high-quality sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services, including abortion care, without facing judgment. The purpose of this grant is to build an ecosystem of actors from the grassroots up to the national and regional levels that will serve as a pivotal link to the African narratives and social norms shifting work. By engaging diverse stakeholders, including community leaders, civil society organizations and groups, policymakers, professional groups, young people, and influencers, the project will amplify the impact of narrative change efforts and social norms shifting initiatives. This will be realized through advocacy and awareness campaigns, dispelling misinformation regarding SRH, promoting culturally relevant and positive narratives that challenge detrimental social norms, and endorsing SRH rights. Innovative community engagement models will also be developed to address practical obstacles to SRH service accessibility. Shortlisted CBOs will be invited to participate in a participatory development of SOW, and deliverables with a reasonable financial proposal.
