Consortium Coordinator

Background:

CATALYSYTS is a consortium that emerged organically, propelled by a group of five Africa-focused abortion rights organizations– International Planned Parenthood Foundation-Africa Regional Office-IPPF-ARO, Ipas Africa Alliance (AA), Centre for Reproductive Rights(CRR), Population Council-Kenya and FIGO. The Consortium has an ambitious and unambiguously comprehensive vision  of universal abortion rights in Africa and access to high-quality care, regardless of context and persons seeking care.

The name ‘CATALYSTS’ acknowledges the myriad initiatives that continue to drive the advancement of abortion rights in Africa. It encapsulates our distinctive purpose: to be the catalytic initiative that invigorates, accelerates, and magnifies these ongoing efforts.  To effectively deliver on this role,  the CATALYSTS consortium needs a full time Coordinator to help us move this exciting concept to practical action. This role presents an exhilarating opportunity for applicants to actively contribute to expanding abortion rights in Africa and be part of an initiative that promises meaningful  and impactful change in the lives of women and girls.

The Consortium Coordinator will play a pivotal role in the early stages of this newly formed consortium. Reporting to the core group, this position will be responsible for overall coordination, communication, building partnerships, representation, financial management, reporting, and overseeing the implementation of our early funded project. The role will be instrumental in consolidating donor reports, both financial and narrative.

The coordinator will be based in the office of Ipas Africa Alliance (AA), a member of the Ipas Global Network whose bold ambition is to advance reproductive justice around the world by ensuring access to abortion and contraception.
