Ipas is an international non-profit organization working in the field of women’s rights and reproductive justice. Ipas Zambia works with the Ministry of Health to support comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services. Ipas believes that no woman should have to risk her life or health because she lacks safe reproductive health choices. Ipas Zambia is committed to advancing access to comprehensive Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) through legal and policy reform, capacity strengthening and community engagement. While Zambia has made progress with some progressive SRHR laws and policies, various legal, policy, and social barriers continue to limit access to essential SRHR services, particularly for adolescents, women, and marginalized populations.
To support ongoing advocacy and programming, Ipas Zambia seeks a qualified consultant to conduct a comprehensive legal and policy analysis of Zambia’s SRHR-related laws, policies, frameworks and regulations. This analysis will identify barriers hindering safe abortion access, using desk reviews, stakeholder consultations, and data collection from health and legal sources. The analysis will inform evidence-based advocacy, legal reform efforts, and strategic stakeholder engagement.
