Background:
Ipas has programmatic guidance to support our work at the intersection of abortion and disability inclusion. These materials need to be updated to ensure that we align with our updated Network vision as partners in reproductive justice and reflect the most up-to-date language, data, and thinking in the field.
We are seeking a consultant to support us in updating existing materials on disability inclusion and abortion to better reflect our values focused on reproductive and disability justice.
Scope of Work
· Review existing materials (a combined total of 40 pages) and identify areas that need updated language, information, and reorganization.
· Draft new language for the identified areas.
· Make clear connections between disability inclusion and reproductive justice in the framing of this material.
· Develop a new section on movement building and meaningful partnerships with disability-led organizations to support local ownership, mutual solidarity, and sustainability.
· Update references and include a list of relevant external resources to support/strengthen the material.
Ipas will provide:
· Relevant background information on Ipas.
· Feedback from staff across the Network on improvements to make to this resource.
· Ongoing communication and guidance (over email and/or virtual meetings) as needed to support this process.
Technical Requirements:
· Expertise in disability inclusion (at minimum). Familiarity and work with disability justice framework preferred.
· Familiarity with the Reproductive Justice framework and experience with Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights field.
· Strong writing skills, particularly in the development of toolkits and related resources.
· Experience working with and developing resources for an international audience.
